A true story from my former supervisor

Di ako sure if tama ba ang tag na premonition o baka mas better yung unexplained events, either one works for this story eh. Also apologies since I'm gonna share the story in English, insecure pa ako sa Tagalog ko as a southie.

In my former job, I got pretty close with my supervisor as we had similar tastes in music. He was a guy in his late 40s I think, with two daughters. He shared this story during a drinking session with me and other coworkers.

It started when he was a teenager. He and his parents lived in a subdivision where kids played in the streets and entered each other's houses with no worries, you know, the good old days, when things were much safer.

He remembers one event where they were having a party in the house, and the neighborhood kids started gathering around their refrigerator. Way he described it, it was an old type of giant metal super-heavy fridge that for some reason was placed on top of this huge rubber tyre. The kids were peering under the fridge, and when he asked them why, they said there was a little boy hiding in there. He wasn't surprised as he himself and the rest of his family sometimes sees this little boy, apparently a harmless ghost. Like 3-5 years old, longish hair like little kids before their first haircut, and always dressed in a white sando and pants rolled up to the knees. They'd never see his face clearly, just a vague figure running almost past the field of vision.

They'd keep seeing this little ghost boy every now and then, running around the house and disappearing into thin air. They got so used to it that it wasn't even a topic of conversation anymore when they'd see him.

This kinda continued until he reached his 20s/30s and got married, had his first daughter, and they inherited his parents' house and lived there. Around that time, the sightings of the little ghost boy kinda dwindled, but he didn't really think too much of it as family concerns took up more of his brain space.

Some years later he and his wife had their second daughter. At this point the little ghost boy was never really seen anymore, and he barely even thought about the whole thing. One day when his second daughter was already a toddler, he had to go to the nearby sari-sari to buy stuff, and he decided to bring her. Since it was hot, he dressed her in a white sando, and because she liked to run but would trip a lot, he dressed her in long pants but folded the legs up to the knees so if she fell, she wouldn't get her knees skinned.

After he dressed her, she got up and started running around, and as he watched her, chills ran all over his body as he realized that the little ghost boy he saw all those times before was, in fact, a premonition of his second daughter.
