Wasp attacked my caterpillar - will it survive?
Have helped monarch’s on their journey for years, but this year, what seems like the first time, wasps are a huge problem. I have now built an enclosure around a few milkweed plants, but woke up this morning to a wasp inside. The wasp (not a parasitic type) only got a partial chunk of tail end of one 4th instar caterpillar. Caterpillar is still alive hours later, just laying on its side. Does he have a chance? Any advice?
