Looking to remodel my kitchen in a 1950s home. The kitchen isn't that big so I'm trying to maximize counter space. I'm going to change out the cabinet doors on the existing cabinets and paint them. No plan to take down walls as I'm not a fan of totally open floor plans. The wall to the right out of frame has our baseboard cast iron heat.

Does this seem like an efficient use of my space? The mock-up is more an idea of where the cabinets, counters and appliances will go then exact cabinet/door placement.
