Seizures that create aggression?
Hi. We have a 2.5 y/o cattle dog mix we rescued at around 4 to 5 months old. He has had 2 professional trainers work with him and he is quite smart. He has been taken to a university level emergency vet hospital once when we came home to find him acting drunk with unsteady gait, staring off, and just being very out of it. Seemed neurological but they did no neuro testing. They did rule out prettymuch everything else though. He also has unprovoked aggressive episodes. He also has fear based aggressive episodes. He gets overstimulated easily and has aggressive episodes. After an aggressive episode where he bites and has injured one of us, he typically acts like he has no idea he injured us. He will either go back to whatever he was doing or he will ask for love and pets like nothing happened. We are about to try him on Keppra as the vet agrees that this is a neurological response which involves fight or flight mode. Unfortunately his body chooses fight. Has anyone had a dog who has experienced anything similar to this?
