He was in a marine band called the Remington Raiders (named after the Remington typewriters they used) that he says was pretty popular and was shown on military TV over there at the time. This is a long shot, but I’m hoping someone remembers this song. It was a man or a male duo, and they did a comedy song that was something about Her Name Was Mathilda being the foundation for We Praise Thee Oh God Our Redeemer Creator. My husband has been going crazy for weeks trying to find this piece of his youth and we’ve come up empty. The performers were serious artists but had this one song as a comedic relief of sorts.
