Japanese Military ranks in fiction

I'm writing a book set in an alternate modern Japan and have some questions regarding correct honorifics. In TV shows and movies currently, how are military officers addressed? I have a list of the ranks I want to include and what I think are the possible honorifics after their name is said:

  1. Commander 大将

  2. Vice Commander 中将

  3. First Lieutenant 少将

  4. Colonel 大佐

  5. Lieutenant Colonel 中佐

  6. Major 少佐

Example: Commander Tanaka 田中大将

Would this be correct? Or is there a blanket honorific that's used for all officers like how さん is used? I'm looking for honorifics where the english translation would be natural. The official titles for the ground forces of Japan are very long, especially for the top general, so I assume they're not used as honorifics. Also, what would be one for Captain?

can't find new villagers using nook mile tickets

i've been trying to get more villagers on my island. i had the first villager to stay at the campsite move in, but every time i've used a nook miles ticket since (i've gone through 10), i don't find any villagers at all. am i doing something wrong? i just want to get to 7 villagers to progress the story. i've been time travelling to see if it needs two or three days after another villager moves in, but no dice

Looking for a textbook for East Asian Clothing History

Specifically looking for textbooks and articles that could be used as material for the Harvard class EASTD 154 - Threads: Histories and Theories of Clothing and Fashion. The course description is exactly the kind of information I’m looking for. I want to learn more about garment history in Japan’s Edo period and the only two books I’ve managed to find are museum collections only focused on kosode and kimonos (When Art Became Fashion & Five Centuries of Japanese Kimono) These are still too general for my taste and I got next to no information about east asian history while I was getting my fashion design degree. Anything appreciated!
