Hi, I decided to read the books before starting season 3, because I could feel that 'the big reveal' would be made during Season 3 and wanted to read it in the book first.

I am about halfway through Shift but I got tempted and watched S03E01. It seems very different, like... not at all the same except a few similarities. So now I'm wondering if it's safe to watch S03 and read Shift & Dust at the same time? What do you think?

Why draw a map like some crayon munching peach boy? There's no need to go full Will Byers and paper your house in crayon page puzzles and call in a hobbit to solve it, when a simple 3D model of random tubular objects and wires will get the job done in no time. Victor starts a children's art club, but gets angry at the children for wasting crayons and ends up in a psych ward.

Elgin becomes a model for eye-patches, but it all goes wrong for him when he loses the other eye in a culinary accident

Boyd does a book tour and media interviews but soon gets cancelled because he never finishes a story, and he gets angry at the audience during Q&A
