Not able to accept jobs?

I have been trying to accept new jobs for the new school year but the moment it pops up, and even if I have the phone in my hand, it’s just gone. I am not able to understand what could be wrong. I am a preferred sub in two schools of my district, but I am not able to take up jobs even from those schools. I emailed the admin but she said that assigning the jobs is no more in their hands now because there’s some change in the system. I am so confused as to whom should I approach.?

Debating

It’s been 4 years that I have been subbing in my county schools. But my first year I started with a Montessori school. Did that school till last year but eventually left because I was paid more in public schools and was also successful in making connections in two of the schools where I now majorly sub.

Yesterday, the director of the Montessori school called me and asked me if I was interested in a lead teacher position in another Montessori which her friend has recently opened. She’s asked me to think over the opportunity and let her know.

Idk what should be a better option? My husband says it’s a great opportunity and I should go ahead and schedule a meeting with the new school. Whereas I somehow like the flexibility of being a substitute. I had been long thinking of getting my real estate license too.

I still don’t know if I would be able to make through the interview but I am getting very anxious. Due to high volume of subs in my area, I know having a permanent job would be great but my mind is in two states.

Help me.
