I personally just do not like Sean’s part in Your Graduation..

I think this song perfectly encapsulates how I want to and wished to be loved. Jake sings about the mundane details of being with the right person, but also highlights the very special moments with lines like “And at last, we’d see each other in the way that we had dreamed to be seen” and “The both of us still green enough to remove the other’s clothes / a quiet signal of devotion that I am happy to have known.” This song just makes me really bittersweet and oddly enough makes me fall in love with somebody who doesn’t exist. And don’t even get me started on that absolutely divine, beautiful, lullaby-esque instrumental. This might be my favorite song of all time

It’s obviously not what it’s really about, but I like to think that it’s about a guy who’s in “love” with his roommate. She has a boyfriend, and even from the narrators room he can hear the two of them making out on the couch. She asks if he has to leave, and due to the awkwardness, he wishes he could say no. He goes out, and meets with another friend of his. They hook up and have a nice time together. He’s drunk and has class in the morning, eventually deciding to skip because of how hungover he is. He and the girl sleep in and order food, they have fun watching Planet Earth and brainstorming tattoos. Without even realizing it, he’s gotten over his feelings for his roommate, all his attention on this new girl.
