Hi everyone,

I’m a 14-year-old student interested in physics and philosophy. I’ve been working on a conceptual model of time, mostly as a thought experiment to better understand how we describe temporal flow in physics.

I would like to share it here to get feedback on whether it is meaningful, redundant, or already covered by existing interpretations.

Time is not treated as a substance, but as a continuous transition between states of a system:

- Future → set of possible states (potential configurations)

- Present → realized/observed state of the system

- Past → recorded trace (memory / physical record)

Future (possible states)

→ transition (physical realization / measurement)

→ Present (observed state)

→ irreversible recording

→ Past (stored information / entropy increase)

🧩 Interpretation

This model tries to separate:

- physical state evolution (objective)

- human perception of “present” (subjective experience)

In this view, the “present” is not necessarily a fixed duration, but the boundary between prediction and recorded information.
