Moon Druid Racials

Evening yall

I'm gearing up for an honor mode playthrough and I'm trying to decide on a race for it. I'm between Fleet of Foot (wood elf/half elf), halfling luck (halfling obviously), and gnome cunning (also gnome obviously). Also considering half-orc for relentless endurance.

I would generally assume the latter 2 to be more impactful but it of course comes with a reduction in movement speed. I'm planning on probably just a full TB druid that is NOT the party face so no need to take that into account in halfling luck. I know owlbear jump makes movement speed very incentivizing but I do intend to go to earth myrm when its available.

I know they all have upsides and downsides, just looking for anyone with experience on how impactful/not impactful each is. I'll make my decision from there. Thanks!

Edit: Also to be clear i know this is a coughing baby vs coughing baby scenario in that i can pick for flavor and be just fine. Just curious lol.

Suggestions on Class and Party

Hey all,

So I'm theorycrafting an upcoming build and want a few suggestions. IMPORTANT to keep in mind is that I don't use consumables very heavily, including arrows, I just don't like shopping for them and enjoy using what I pick up :)

I have the general itemization already planned out but im stuck between eldritch knight, battlemaster, and ranger for this member. Notable is that bard is not an option as I have a friend that will be playing bard! I want the build to focus largely on using Harold and the gloves of baneful striking to debuff the enemies saving throws. I don't really care if this character is optimal or does a lot of damage, I just want them to be a good supporter. My friend (relatively new to the game, only one playthrough) may focus on CC and I want them to feel impactful and land those "save or suck" spells. In my eyes EK provides eldritch strike and a few CC spells to work off of, Battlemaster can utilize the debuffs pretty easily for trip attack disarming attack etc, and hunter can spread it to many targets with volley and horde breaker. Which do you guys think brings more value overall? I want to avoid reclassing so full game performance is preferable. Think of this as the guy that opens the enemy up for everyone else's attacks rather than being the overt threat.

Also, since I will have a companion I want someone who is competent at using phalar aluve as their main weapon. I am considering fighter, monk, and maybe a melee gloomstalker assassin. Fighter gets action surge, monk gets BA attacks and 4E monk gets extra procs of phalar aluve thunder damage (love the idea of using a weaker sublass like this), and GA can use shriek and the extra gloomstalker attack on the same turn, plus it being a finesse weapon for sneak attacks. Cleric is an option too but I'm not huge on spirit guardians builds (amazing, just not my cup of tea) so I'm kinda sidelining it for now.

Let me know if I'm missing anything glaring. I know this is kinda overkill on debuffing and more can be accomplished with other methods, but it just seems like fun.

Final note, I don't want Harold and phalar aluve on the same character. It's effective, I just dont like the feel.

Thanks!

Edit: The fact that I didn't think of Arcane Archer shames me. Thanks y'all, good points.
