Salem skipper will have no interruption in service this Friday

Called the mayor's office and confirmed there are no changes to the skippers service coming this Friday.

Edit: to service in Salem. Service to other towns will be stopped as announced by the city.

Hello Salem, it is time once again for us to do our civic duty. This vote will impact the entire city with modifying our taxes. Both a NO and a YES will raise taxes. The current high school is falling apart and we need to remove asbestos, repair the heating system, make it ADA compliant etc. We are going to either build a new school with a state grant support costing Salem 239m (YES) or rehab the existing school to code with no state money and a higher cost to taxpayers of 354m (NO). You can find information about the vote, voting locations and how to find your ward below:

All city councillors support a yes vote.

I could not find any post on here specifically calling for a no vote. If you travel over to facebook or nextdoor you should be able to see some of their arguments. If anyone has a post worth linking to for the no vote, please comment and I can edit (will need to clear the no misinfo rule on this site)
