Did the dinosaur finally die of negativity or what? I just realized I haven’t seen it lately. Another short lived money grab from the Getchells?

Hey everyone, I'm one of the moderators here.
We don't remove much of anything in this subreddit, even posts that criticize or attack us. We want this to be a place where people can speak openly, as long as they're following Reddit's sitewide rules.

I know there's been some discussion about transferring useful information from the old snark sub to this one, and I'm happy to help. If there are any flairs you'd like to see added or other ways we can better organize the community, please let us know in the comments or send us a modmail. I'll also do a better job of checking in and staying more active.

We created this subreddit because we were frustrated with seeing so much content removed. People were being banned for reasons that didn't seem justified, and the way things were being handled just didn't sit right with us.

There's a bigger issue at hand, and I think it's important that we keep that goal at the front of our minds.

Whether you think Guy deserved to be banned or not, wanting him to stay down to “protect minors”or “protect victims”is ridiculous. The money he made from streaming the Getchells didn't go into his pocket. It went back into the community.

Get that through your head. He helped people experiencing homelessness, donated to charities like RAINN, and used his platform to expose the Getchells.

You don't have to like him, but you can't ignore the people who benefited from what he was doing. By taking him down, you're also taking away support from people who actually needed it. Think about that before celebrating.

And while we're at it, the way some of you are throwing Spooky and Nightmare under the bus is insane. Creating fictional stories about them & starting rumors and spreading hate.

They've donated to organizations that actually help people, raised awareness, and put in countless hours documenting everything. A lot of which, has been in silence.

If it wasn't for Nightmare, there's a good chance a lot of people would've never even known about the Getchells. Nightmares archive and work have helped shine a light on this in ways most people don't even realize. If it wasn’t for Nightmare clocking something was seriously messed up about the dad and daughter dynamic, who knows the things that could have happened or continued?

Before you drag them through the mud, maybe learn who they actually are and what they've done, and put some f*cking respect on their names.

You people will do anything to tear down the creators who are actually making a difference, and I genuinely don't understand why??? They're the reason so much of this came out in the first place.

You might as well go support Patrick, because all you're doing is helping him by attacking the people who've been holding him accountable.

You aren't bringing any new information, you’re just repeating misinformation and acting like it's fact. If all you're doing is spreading rumors and talking out of your ass, maybe find another "cause" to support instead of attacking the people who've actually made a difference.

For those of you doing this, you suck. I hope you do better in life & find a more meaningful hobby.

I know not everyone likes Guy, and that's okay. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But this is about more than whether you like him or not.

His account being banned doesn't just affect him. It affects the people he's helped, the awareness he's brought to important issues, and the community he's supported through his givebacks.

He has used his platform to give back and help others.

At the end of the day, this isn't about picking sides. It's about supporting something bigger than all of us.

Can someone genuinely explain why Haley's fanbase goes so hard for her? I honestly don't get it.

I can recognize that what happened to her during the Barbie situation wasn't okay. Nobody deserves to be harassed or dogpiled online. But I also don't think that means every criticism of her suddenly becomes invalid.

A lot of the way she's handled public disagreements has added to the drama instead of helping anything. That's why I don't understand why people act like she's above criticism??? You can have empathy for what she's gone through and still acknowledge that she's contributed to the toxicity too… she’s actually played a HUGE role in that…

People act like she's this revolutionary voice in the community, but I really don't see it. Her commentary is mid at best, but that’s just my personal opinion.

It feels like she thrives on being at the center of attention. Every time the attention starts shifting elsewhere, another issue pops up that pulls everyone back into talking about her. There's always another conflict, another falling out, another reason she's somehow the victim in a victimless situation.
Does anyone know if there has been a single bridge she’s crossed that hasn’t been burnt?

Whether that's intentional or not, the end result is the same: more drama, more division, and more people picking sides.

The weirdest part is her fans behavior. Some people defend her no matter what, while holding everyone else to a completely different standard. It feels like they're looking for her approval instead of having their own opinions. It’s really sad because the truth of the matter is she doesn’t care about a single one of you people and you are all disposable to her.
But I’m glad she makes you feel special I guess…
