First necklace attempt, how horrible are my loops?

I’ve been practicing for days and they keep looking too oval to me. I just cannot get that perfect circle no matter what I do and I’m getting extremely frustrated. Honest critiques welcome. Including if the bead choices are overall just ugly/boring. I need to know honestly if I should keep going or improvement tips. I’m not going for design of the year I’d just like to make some simple daily wearables. Thank you 😫

I am so tired of the absolute refusal to agree with me

It does not matter what it’s about, how objective or subjective of an issue, big or small, even if it’s not the point of the conversation but a side detail I added in, no matter what I say about anything it has to let me know that I’m “ALMOST correct, but ackshually…“ then repackage exactly what I said in a slightly different way and present that as the superior answer. I usually let it go but for some reason today I argued with it until I finally got it to admit there was no difference between what it was saying and what I originally said. None. It took so long too. Now I’m embarrassed I argued with AI for that long but umagerd why is it programmed to be a contrarian on level 1000 now 🥲 I swear I could say I went to the store today and they were out of milk I can’t believe Walmart doesn’t have milk… and it would be like “just to clarify an important distinction, Walmart isn’t a store in the classic sense, it’s a blah blah and it never truly is out of milk it only appears that way bc blah blah…” sybau

Difficulty deciding on bracelet clasps/adjustment chains

Hello I’m just starting to create seed bead bracelets and I’m having a hard time deciding on how to finish them. I’m wondering for those that sell, what do people seem to like more? Or even personally what do you prefer? I was thinking I could do:

  1. 3 standard sizes small 5.5, medium 6.5, large 7.5
  2. The 3 standard sizes with a 1in adjuster chain on each
  3. Do both, 6 total, 3 with adjusters and 3 without. But that would be a lot of bracelets lol.

Personally I don’t care for adjuster chains on my bracelets however I’m fortunate that I usually fit the standard size.

Thank you for any input.

Not actual brass?

Got these at Michael’s which I know isn’t for serious supplies but I needed some lobster clasps in a pinch (pun intended) and these were labeled gold and silver plated brass. Yet here they are sticking to a magnet which I thought meant not brass. Am I misunderstanding or is their labeling dubious?

Jump rings used in bead link/rosary necklaces

I’m just getting my feet wet and have been reading best practices and would like some input on jump ring usage. Specifically in bead link or rosary style necklaces. I’ve read in several jewelry articles now that using them as connectors, ex:

Loop/bead/loop - jump ring - loop/bead/loop - jump ring, repeat

is structurally wrong, causing twisting and overall weakens the jewelry. You should instead connect the loops directly or use a cut chain in between. With the exception of using them to dangle charms, pendants at the bottom, or going for a specific chain mail style that looks much different.

However on social media I see people use jump rings as connectors between bead loops all the time, through the whole necklace. Sometimes several in a row. Just one long row of bead stations with jump rings in between. And they seem to be well praised/received. Is what I read outdated info or is social media an example of just because something gets a lot of likes doesn’t mean it was made well? Of course I know I can do whatever makes me happy but I’d like my jewelry to be structurally sound.

Thanks for any input.

My beloved Tammy disappeared 3 days ago. Most mornings she comes on my back porch with me while I drink my coffee then we come back in but on this morning she was startled by my lawn mower guys starting their mowers up. They usually come on a different day or I wouldn’t have had her out there. She ran, I assumed would return but hasn’t. The next day I texted the lawn guys asking if they saw her at any point and they said a cat was hiding in their truck bed and jumped out as soon as they left our neighborhood. I assume that was her.

Anyway I’ve gone the whole nine yards to look for her every minute since, I’m a total mental wreck, someone responded to one of my lost posts this morning with these photos. They are about 10 miles away which seems far. I have to wait to be off work and get my kid childcare so I can go check to be sure but what do you guys think? I honestly don’t think it’s her, even if she was roughed up and hadn’t eaten I think her body shape and markings are just too different.

If it’s glaringly obvious please be nice I just can’t trust my judgement in this emotional state and want input from others to be sure.

I’m getting better but cannot seem to get a good end point. It’s always rough and pokey when I brush my finger across it. I try to flatten it with the chain pliers and it either does nothing or over does it and warps/scratches/flattens the whole thing. Is there any trick or technique to making it super smooth and flush against the rest of the wire? Do I hide it in the bead opening somehow? Any advice appreciated thank you excuse my hideous nail.
