The usual suspects voting against protecting the environment, but Hemmens? She had my vote, but I'm taking it back!
And I was wavering between Krog and Lovegrove, but this solidified it for me. Lovegrove it is.

Thanks to the Nanaimo Pride Society for this helpful chart. Know who you're voting for!

I'm a candidate for city council (Jackie Bolen) and am a proud member of the Nanaimo Queer community.
Hi everyone, I'm running for city council this October and would like to get the word out.
The issues I care most about are the environment and food security. Attending the Cable Bay hearings and seeing how much opposition there was to this development was part of my inspiration for running.

Need some summer entertainment? The Nanaimo Lawn Bowling Club is hosting some open houses this Saturday and Sunday (May 9/10) from 1-4 at Bowen Park.
You'll get a quick lesson from a coach and then get a chance to throw some bowls. You can also find out how to join the club as a member. No equipment needed except for flat shoes that won't mark the greens.
