Starting as a UGC creator at 50+ with zero experience — what does a realistic step-by-step look like (including essential gear)?

I recently joined this group and have been reading a lot of helpful posts, but I’m still looking for a more complete beginner roadmap.
I’m in my 50s, have no content creation experience and no portfolio yet. I just set up a TikTok creator account. I’m not completely tech-illiterate (I recently built my own website for my business), but I’m starting from scratch with UGC.
There’s plenty of advice floating around on individual topics, but I’m hoping for a clear, practical step-by-step on what to actually do first, especially:
• How to build a solid starter portfolio with no prior work
• What equipment is truly essential vs. nice-to-have when you’re just beginning
• Any specific tips or realities for starting later in life (50+)
