Hi all, sorry for posting here but the megathread is not working. I'm looking to refinish the slab in my mom's basement and put up some walls to section it off. The home is from 1937 so from everything I can gather it is likely a good mixture of lime and portland cement with no underlayment which does allow for some efflorescence, so I do not plan on putting anything over top of the slab and just want to give it a nice finish. I plan on fixing up the cracks and then sealing with eagle natural.
What would you guys recommend doing as a 1-2 day project to refinish this area? Is it advisable to refinish the floor in sections as I go? Any thoughts and ideas would be much appreciated.
