Hey all! This is my first time making sourdough starter. I’m on day 14. I fed this starter a 1:2:2 ratio. 50g of starter, 50g rye flour, 50g bread flour, 100g water.
It was fed at 11pm last night and at 7am, this is what it looked like! I’m super stoked that it grew so much, however it had already peaked and began to sink.
I know rye can make the yeast colonies go crazy and that’s probably what caused such an intense rise (second day of a rise of this caliber).
I’m sorry for the silly question, but should I go ahead and feed it now, or wait for the 24 hour mark?
