Help / advice. I broke my leg 2 weeks before my REU what should I do

So I went roller skating and fell on my leg breaking it. What should I do? Does that mean I can't do my REU anymore? Or should I just email them to see what they say? Any advice? Cuz I still want to go but I don't know if they will let me. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Traveling with NIL

Hi everybody. I got accepted to my first REU where they said they would be buying our tickets but my ticket says NIL . When I look on the internet that means that I'm only going to be able to get carry-on luggage. Is this the standard? If so how much would it cost for me to pay for one extra luggage to bring on the plane (American Airline)? On the American airline website it does say $65 for one bag of luggage and $200 for 3 but I'm not sure if that means if you buy with your ticket or it's $65 for your first luggage regardless? Is this common for everybody else? Or should I just email the person who booked the flight and then the organizatier/head of this REU? Any hope is welcome.
