Hey guys,
So my car has been using roughly 1 Litre of oil per 1000 miles, I took it in to a specialist last month and they replaced the PCV as a first step to see if this lessens the usage which it hasn’t,
They checked over everything and said I don’t have any oil leakage to be concerned about but said because of the age and milage of my car (150,000 miles) this is just a thing for my engine.
I’ve recently done an oil change using 5w-40 Liqui-Moly and at 1050 miles the top up oil notification has come up again.
It’s frustrating as I love the car i keep it well maintained but I really want it to stop eating oil every month
Any ideas as to what i could do next?
