I recently switched over to Fiber, I use my own router which albeit is a little older Asus RT-AX82U is a gb router. My previous ISP was copper and had the gig plan, used to get about 800-900mb wired and around 600-700mb on WiFi which seemed good to me with the equipment I’m running. I recently switched to fiber about a month ago, still using the same equipment minus obviously the ISP provided ONT which plugs right into my router. Everything works fine, wired speeds are still stable at around the same speeds as before as expected. But for some reason my WiFi speeds seem to have cut in about half…I average about 300mb WiFi speeds. Any ideas why that might be? Nothing else has changed in the house. Is there settings I should change on my router? I’m heavily thinking about switching all my equipment over to Unifi but I’m not quite ready for that switch just yet. Any ideas? Thanks!
