I’m looking for a repro gas mask filter for a GM38. Basically so that I can wear the mask without breathing in spicy air.
I’ve heard that some people 3D print repros but haven’t had any luck finding any, if you guys know of someone that does something like that I’d appreciate it.
I recently purchased this beauty as something simple to put as a German soldiers equipment display at shows.
From my understanding it has the makers code BWZ and 43 inside, which I think stands for Auer-Gesellschaft AG, Werk Oranienberg. (No idea what that means) and it has an AUER filter dated I think 1934.
I have found some information regarding the mask, it was made from iron and was unsuitable for frontline use. However I haven’t found anything on the filter, what it is or how it was used by which force within the Reich.
