I'm removing my ovarian cyst really soon

I have a dermoid cyst on my left ovary, it's not very big, iirc around 3 to 4cm? Doc said the entire procedure wouldn't take too long and I'll be under general anesthesia. The procedure will be done the day after tomorrow

I trust my doc. He's a private specialist and I guess I do trust the doctors here but I'm really really anxious about the whole procedure. I've read about other people's experience about the surgery over the past few days and somehow it's scaring me haha... I don't know how my body will react to the anesthetic and the surgery but I hope I'm well enough to travel on a flight by the end of June

I also have another fear of being used as a practice board for medical students. I'm not sure if anyone has heard about it before but I've read about cases (in other procedures) that med students were brought into the OR for practice. I'm afraid of that.

Would love any input from women who have gone through similar procedures!

Need advice regarding CPF if I work overseas

Hi all. I intend to relocate to Fujian Province in China in about 2 years from when I start working full-time as my partner is currently based there. I was told by my mother who told me that, in summary, if I wanted to come back to SG to work in the future, I'd be broke because there'd be zero CPF contributions. She herself was unemployed for about a few years due to me and my brother's PSLE and O Levels, as well as taking up a diploma for industry switching. She told me that she missed out in thousands from her CPF.

Would like some advice regarding this and I would like to understand more. I do not intend to come back to Singapore when I relocate, and I will not be giving up my SG citizenship. From what I understand, I am aware that I can contribute voluntarily overseas as a SG citizen. Housing wise, my partner has an apartment in China.

Ultimately, I understand that it is my choice but the whole conversation sounded like trying to stop me from relocating, when previously she told me that I can either work and save up for a Masters degree there, or work first then search for a job there. So everything sounds contradictory. I love my partner and we genuinely see a future together. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.
