Blair Mountain Rednecks
In 1921, union mine workers started an uprising against a coal company, known as The Battle of Blair Mountain due to working conditions. These workers wore red bandanas to signify they were union, leading to the term Rednecks. They fought against the mining company, sheriffs, police, and eventually the US Army in the largest armed conflict since the Civil War. This team pays homage to those mine workers.
