Please help. The family took a trip to Europe last year and rented a car from SIXT in Italy. While traveling in Croatia, I unknowingly received a parking ticket. No paper ticket, so I didn't know about it. 11 months later, I received notice that they were charging me a fine of 196 Euros.
I asked them to send me a copy of my signed contract. They wrote back that "it is specified that the driver, and therefore the contract holder, accepts the general rental conditions of Sixt.” That's all it says on my contract. They said the Italian SIXT website has a link to their general conditions. “The renter shall owe a fee for each such request or service (as the case may be) in accordance with the rental information valid at the date of the rental agreement.” “The renter shall be liable without limitation for all violations of traffic and regulatory provisions and other statutory provisions as well as for all disturbances of possession caused by the renter or third parties to whom the renter leaves the vehicle.” These fees are not posted and I have no idea where they got them.
I contacted Citibank. They immediately said they don't see that SIXT charged me incorrectly. Talking to them was super unhelpful. We were really not understanding each other.
Any way out of this or does SIXT get to charge 17x the parking ticket?
I’m not understanding this. Last night my 4 yo Rinnai got a code 11. I cleaned my flame sensor, checked to make sure it was sparking, tried resetting … wasn’t lighting. I used the oven, so gas was working. I made an appointment for today. This morning it works fine. Detectives, what gives?
