The Controlled Disclosure Timeline: How We Got Here and Where It's Going
This is my working theory. I’m still trying to connect the dots. I’d love to see what you guys think. My main idea is that alien technology arrived nearly 80 years ago. Our government eventually reverse engineer it. There is a slow and intentional info leak to prepare us for the eventual news that we’re not alone. The invention of the cell phone camera accelerated the disclosure timeline. They’ll make it official in the near future.
1947 Roswell: The Military Tells the Truth, Then Takes It Back
The U.S. Army issues a press release confirming recovery of a flying disc, then retracts it within 24 hours and calls it a weather balloon. A cover-up would have never issued the first release. Someone accidentally told the truth before they were told to stop, and a plan was formed
1947-1982: Forty Years of Slow Progress
The recovered technology sits in containment at a classified facility while the government tries to understand how it works..
1982-1986: Hudson Valley- The First Signs of a Breakthrough
Over 7,000 witnesses in New York and Connecticut report massive, silent, triangular craft. They likely had succeeded in recreating our own craft with the technology. They didn’t mean to get caught by the public. Something likely went wrong.
1989: Lazar Goes Public and Belgium Lights Up Simultaneously
Bob Lazar surfaces on Las Vegas TV describing reverse engineering of alien craft at S-4, and within weeks Belgium experiences one of the most documented UFO waves in history with 13,500 reports, military radar confirmation, and F-16 scrambles. Two data points arriving at the same moment pointing at the same conclusion is not a coincidence. Lazar was a plant used for two reasons. First, he discredits any reports by coming off as crazy. He isn’t the most reliable whistleblower. Second, he plants the real story in culture, so we can eventually come to grips with the truth when it is finally disclosed.
1991: Black Triangle Flies Combat Operations
Aviation Week reports a triangular stealth craft flying alongside F-117s during Desert Storm. First generation reverse engineered technology appears to have gone operational inside a decade of the Hudson Valley testing phase.
1997: Phoenix Lights: They Stop Hiding It
The government has had another technological breakthrough. Thousands of witnesses across three states report a massive silent craft blocking out stars overhead. The government offers a flares explanation that nobody who saw it believes.
Early 2000s: Second Generation: The Tic Tac
The Navy quietly files patents for a hybrid aerospace-underwater craft using inertial mass reduction. This the same propulsion principle Lazar described in 1989. The craft gets smaller, faster, and gains the ability to transition between air and water, which is the engineering progression you'd expect from 20 years of iteration on first generation technology.
November 2004: USS Nimitz: The Best Documented Encounter on Record
Commander David Fravor and three other Navy pilots observe a 40-foot craft descend 80,000 feet in under a second, hover, then disappear and reappear 60 miles away in under a minute. Fravor testifies under oath it was beyond anything we have or will develop in the next decade.
2014: The Threshold Moment
Public UFO sightings peak at 8,000 in a single year. This was before any destigmatization, before the NYT story, before congressional hearings. This is the year the math changes and suppression becomes a losing strategy. The government has to come up with a new timeline for discloser. Too many people have video evidence of something going on.
2017: The New York Times Pulls the Trigger
A front-page story reveals both the Nimitz encounter and a secret Pentagon UAP program, with former intelligence insider Chris Mellon admitting he handed the videos to the Times himself. This is a controlled release through a credible outlet by a credible insider, and it marks the start of managed disclosure.
July 2023: Grusch Testifies Under Oath Before Congress
Decorated intelligence officer David Grusch tells Congress the U.S. has possessed non-human spacecraft for decades, has been reverse engineering them, and that this was illegally withheld from Congress. This is backed by retired Army Colonel Karl Nell who confirmed the core assertion on record. Nobody silenced him, nobody prosecuted him, and he got a congressional platform. This is Lazar 2.0. Real whistleblowers don't get treated that way.
February 14, 2026: Obama Says Aliens Are Real
During a podcast interview Obama states aliens are real, it goes globally viral within hours, and he walks it back two days later with an Instagram post that reads like a man who said more than he was supposed to. Nobody aggressively retracts a casual comment that fast unless the comment wasn't casual.
February 19, 2026: Trump Calls It a Leak and Orders Declassification the Same Day
Trump tells reporters Obama gave classified information and made a big mistake, then within hours orders all agencies to begin releasing UAP files. Obama and Trump worked together on this. One president creates the opening, the other uses it as justification to move. Five days, two presidents from opposite parties, same message. Aliens are real.
2026: Gaetz Claims Hybrids, Burchett Says He Can't Sleep
Matt Gaetz claims an active hybrid breeding program was described to him by a uniformed Army officer, and Representative Tim Burchett responds by saying he was recently briefed on things that would "set the earth on fire" and that the country "would come unglued".
Where This Is Going
The gap between major disclosure events keeps shrinking. Decades became years, years became months. The file releases will confirm what insiders have already testified to. More credible voices will surface with increasingly specific claims. At some point the existence of non-human intelligence stops being a theory and becomes an acknowledged fact. I have a deeper theory why this is happening. It involves the days of Noah and the end of the world, but that’s for another post.
