im struggeling for months now...and im not getting my head around it.
Simple task: I use synology photos on android and web. All my pictures are sorted there in the right order and with correct date and times. When downloading the picture in "original" quality, either with synology web or with the synology android app, the file loses their original date and time. The new date and time is the moment when the file got downloaded. If I upload the exakt same file again to synology, it again has not the correct meta data. So im sure the meta data gets deleted when downloading / taking out pictures of synology.
ISNT THIS A HUGE AND ENOYING PROBLEM FOR EVERYBODY OR AM I THE ONLY ONE?
Its so hard to share pictures within the family/friends when people use different photo management tools.
What can I do in order to keep the meta data. Or can somebody explain to me, why the industry is choosing this way?
