Picked up this project boat for 600 bucks due to motor not working got it all working and am in the process of replacing carpet/ 2 soft spots on the floor. I know this transom will need to be replaced since it has a little flex on the bottom when I put my full weight on the motor, I also see that it has been reinforced before me, I am just wondering how do you know when you absolutely need to replace, I’d like to at least get it on the water once I finish the floors/re wired just to make sure everything runs as it should. I mean if I don’t floor it I imagine the transom will be okay but wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this. I can attached video of the flex if need be it’s hard to see on video tho.
