New-grad market in California?
I’m going to enter my last year in the RN program and currently in the SD area. I see a lot of people online (specifically here in Cali) talk about how over saturated and competitive the new grad market is right now. I was wondering if anybody on here had some insight on what these hospitals/employers are looking for? I’ve been working as a CNA for 5 years now working mostly in SNF’s, and have done home health here and there. I recently got a position at UCSD with a student extern program and really stoked about that. But I’m hoping I’m not biting off more than I can chew with working part time and now this new externship, especially since this last year of school is considered the hardest. So with that being said, is it worth balancing these things to better position myself post graduation? 😬
