How in Depth will this game be?
I keep looking back on how Sean said the game will be as big as a sandbox but as in depth as an RPG and it's got me thinking, how in-depth are we talking?
I've played a lot of games and a lot of RPGs, some games have crafting, looting, potions, enchanting, weapon rarities and legendary armours and tools, spells and cantrips, skill trees, you can raise the dead or charm people, there's usually dialogue options and boss fights, like a truly in depth role playing game.
And then there're games that do the bare minimum or are just action games with RPG mechanics, as an example Dying light 2: stay human has some RPG mechanics like choosing dialogue and multiple endings, and also weapon rarities but is bare bones and doesn't really dig deeper.
If I'm being honest I think they should go all out; I'm really hoping for A sandbox game that's also an RPG.
Here's a list of things I'd like to see in Light No Fire:
Potion brewing
Enchanting
Weapon and armour forging
Customizable character creation on par with starfield or Baldurs gate
Enemy variety and boss fights
Looting
Maybe some pvp as well
Dungeons (randomly generated at that)
Spells
Cantrips
Abilities
A survival system
Some team based activities
Puzzles
Some spooky stuff (I definitely think they can do a desolation type update for light no fire)
Companions that actually do something
Maybe some other races like orcs or elves?
Definitely a mythology of some kind, can be made up one too
Tools and equipment
Lockpicking
And better base building than what's in no man's sky, also something that can deal with griefers.
I want the ships and boats to REQUIRE multiple players, not just exist with them. What was most disappointing with the voyagers update was that we never got systems or missions that required multiple players, just the usual missions that can be done solo.
These are all just my opinions :)
