My quaker…. Happy but sad….

A small breeding diary from South Korea 🇰🇷
First photo: the parents.
Second photo: Day 1.
Third photo: Day 4.
A pair of 3-year-old Quakers surprised us with their very first hatch this season.
They laid 5 eggs, and amazingly, every single one was fertile.
Unfortunately, as first-time parents, they damaged most of the eggs before the chicks could hatch. One chick made it out safely, while the last remaining egg is still uncertain.
What makes this little one special is that it hatched on the exact same day as my birthday:
June 19th.
I keep macaws, and honestly, these Quakers came into my life unexpectedly. Yet somehow, they ended up giving me one of the most memorable gifts I’ve received in a long time.
Now I’m just hoping this tiny bird grows up healthy and strong.
I wonder what kind of friend it will become.
Wishing everyone good news, healthy birds, and successful hatches this season. 💚
