Had a bit of a weird/scary experience today and wanted to see if anyone else has had this.
I finished a gym session and some light cardio, came home and was just sitting on my bed recovering. My heart rate felt normal (still a bit elevated from the workout), but my Apple Watch started showing random drops into the 30s–40s bpm.
As soon as I saw that, I quickly grabbed an oximeter to double check. At the exact same time, it was consistently reading around 90–100 bpm with oxygen at 98–99%. So the watch was showing extremely low numbers while another device was showing a completely normal post-workout heart rate.
I’ve booked in with my doctor just to be safe as I did feel a little lightheaded, but I’m curious if anyone here has had similar false low readings, especially after workouts. It almost feels like the watch is losing signal and somehow halving the heart rate.
