Hi all, my sensei got me a new heavy weight century gi and I would like to hem it to something more of a Japanese styled kata gi. The inseam has made it go around my ankles and the sleeves go right up to my wrists. The skirt is perfect though.
Me being a 5'9 155 lb male, what would you all recommend me making the inseam and sleeve length? If you need more measurements, I can edit the post if you need more details on my measurements.
I can NOT take it seriously whenever they bring up the clan being weak for lack of warriors. They currently have 24 warriors! That is 2 dozen compared to 9 warriors in Shadowclan, 11 in Windclan, and 9 in Riverclan. My brother they have nearly the amount of warriors as the other 3 clans combined, why are we stressing about needing warriors?
I am no fan of any of the cats dying, but I am so so glad the Erins had the guts to write out so many between the last book of OOTS and Bramblestar's Storm. But there are still 24 warriors! After being wracked by greencough following the worst war since bloodclan smh.
I dont know, am I being dramatic for feeling like this kind of tension is a little contrived when the warriors world shows there is no tension in this area? Does anyone else have a problem with the bloated Thunderclan or the Stripped other clans?

I finished reading Omen of the Stars about a month ago and in preparation for A Vision of Shadows I read Firestar's Quest and just finished Skyclan's Destiny with Skyclan and the Stranger and Bramblestar's Storm on the que. Then I plan to read AVOS, taking a step back after book 2 to read Hawkwing's Journey.
I feel I have finally finished Firestar's run now. It feels like a victory lap to my childhood self, I had stopped reading the books when book 2 of OOTS came out. Coming back to reread the series about 8 months ago has really been a breath of fresh air and an incredibly novel experience. Books I didnt like I came back loving and moments I cried at... I still cried at 😅.
Any thoughts on my reading order as I proceed? Anybody come back to the series after a hiatus? Anybody making their way to AVOS the same as me? Would love to hear your thoughts!
I am seeing many different ways to go from ready stance to attention stance at the end of kata and am confused on what is right or whether it is just dependent on the school.
The main two that I see:
From ready stance, slide right foot to attention
From ready stance, slide right foot to center and then left to right (essentially having them meet in the middle)
What is right if either? What is looked for at completion (given a kata with such a finish)?
