Why hate for spinets?

I’m genuinely curious. Watching YT videos revolving around the world of pianos, 9 times out of 10, there’s always someone talking down on spinets like it’s personal and the spinet has done something to their family and such.

To my knowledge, the spinet was created as an affordable option that also complimented homes with limited space, giving the opportunity of piano to all. Therefore, something feels distasteful when hearing someone talk down on spinets; because to someone they’re the worst things ever, but to others, they’re a cherished token.

I’m just curious if this is an actual thing and if so, is it justifiable? 🧐
