In Fallout 4, the characters Vadim and Yefim Bobrov each have heavy Eastern European accents. Similarly, the companion Cait has a thick Irish accent. This implies that all three characters have either immigrated from Ireland/Eastern Europe or at least grew up in areas with immigrants from those areas.

Additionally, in Fallout 3 everyone’s favorite Landlord Allister Tenpenny is canonically an immigrant who came to the *capital wasteland* in search of a “better life”

How in atom’s name is this even possible? How did they get across the ocean? And is Europe so completely fucked up that post apocalypse America is worth traveling to? If that’s not the case, what’s the deal with all the accents?
