Update on broken collarbone after 10 weeks, surgery or not after CT-scan?

I have posted on this subreddit previously about my broken clavicle and today I had a CT-scan for it. Apparently even though my bone ends are trying to produce callus to make a bridge, they seem to be unable to make the bridge due to the displacement of the ends. My bones are also still moving around they said. I was told to either wait until week 24 (Where they can officially call it a pseudoarthrosis), or I could get a surgery in a couple of weeks. The doctor told me that based on the CT, it was unlikely to get any better by week 24, but you can never be sure he said and it was up to me.

Im kind of afraid of the surgery but (I live in a country where you rarely recommend the surgery and non-op is always the standard) I was told it was problaby the best choice for me, should i go for it or wait? It should be noted that my lifestyle is very limited at the moment due to the fracture, so it is NOT an asymptomatic pseudoarthrosis.

Broke my collarbone 7 weeks ago and there seems to be very little healing going on or am I seeing something wrong? I’m still in some pain and a lot of discomfort and it is affecting my life a lot.

Doctor will call me later in the week and he will probably say that I should wait since I’m young and healthy, should I continue to wait and hope that it heals good or push for surgery to perhaps get my life back?

I live a very active life so it is really affecting me poorly that the pain isn’t going away, and that I’m unable to do anything physically except for perhaps indoor biking with a sling on.
