I tested Apollo alternatives for 2 weeks… here’s what I found

I run a small outreach setup and tested a few tools recently:
- Apollo → huge database but data feels stale
- Clay → powerful but honestly overkill for simple prospecting
- Scraping tools → fast but messy + a lot of noise
Biggest issue across all of them: data quality vs time spent cleaning.
One interesting thing I tried recently was switching to more “real-time” lead sources instead
of static databases.
Found a tool (Leads Sniper) that basically pulls leads from live sources like Google
Maps/search instead of prebuilt lists.
Still early, but the data felt way fresher compared to traditional tools.
Curious if anyone else moved away from big databases recently?
