I’m a photographer. I’ve been looking for a reliable external NVMe SSD for fast 4K video transfers and portable backups.

I recently find the TerraMaster D1 SSD and it seems pretty solid. I like that it’s rugged and can handle a bit of outdoor use so spills or drops won’t instantly ruin my data. The speed looks good too, so moving large files around shouldn’t be a pain. Thinking it could also double as an external drive for my Mac mini.

Has anyone here used a similar rugged NVMe enclosure before? Is it just a gimmick?
