I get this overwhelming feeling this whole thing is a weird attempt at social engineering. Just recently the director/creator of war of the worlds came out essentially saying “who cares if it sucked ass, it was number one for three weeks”. So homie got the bag.
I know I’m not gonna (pay to) watch it, I imagine most history nerds won’t do so either. Which begs the question, is a viral movie a better profit than a good movie in this day and age? Is that the angle? If Hollywood thinks we’re all idiots, maybe that extends to the directors?
I wonder if Andy serkis got the bag for his reheated shit. It’s another adaptation that served up a bizarre amount of controversy.
