What could the yellowing be?

I bought this philodendron from Lowes about a month ago. It is actually two in one pot growing together. It is still in quarantine from my other plants, currently in a south window that only gets diffuse light (my other philodendron is in the other window exactly like this in the adjacent room, the same diffuse lighting, and it is very happy). My question is, does this look like early root rot? These yellowish spots have been slowly showing up, but only on the new growth. The up close pictures of leaves are of the newest growth, the two newest leaves on each plant. The small leaf that looks like a bite was taken out of it, I just noticed it looks a little yellow this morning. The rest of the leaves look fine to me. I have checked the back of the leaves and I don't see pests. I have moved around the topsoil and I don't see pests. I really dislike taking plants out of their pots so I guess I need the push to do it. I thought if this was root rot, the yellowing would not only be on newer leaves. The only other thing I can think of is maybe it doesn't like the lighting in this window, but I thought that would also affect all leaves.

I have been watering once the top half of the soil appears dry when I stick a chopstick all the way down the pot. The soil looks like normal potting soil to me but it drains a lot faster. When watering, my goal has been to water thoroughly so I would water until the water comes out the bottom, which is really quick actually, then water a second or two more so I can get the entire top of the soil covered, then hold it over the sink, then put it on a drip tray for a little while before putting it back on it's decorative pot.

New beauty!! Any input appreciated

I'm so excited about this beauty I found at my local garden center! I can't believe how happy/healthy it is! The chunky base, the amount of branches, it looks like it has never been pruned before!

The soil it is in, looks a little too organic from what I have read (I'm fairly new to these plants but I have a lot of succulents). It looks like it has osmocote in it. The greenhouse I purchased it from was more diffuse light than direct sunlight, but this plant was grown elsewhere, it says Texas on the tag, I feel like it was definitely grown in full sun right? It is currently placed on the front porch, west facing, receiving a few hours of direct sunlight. I wish there was a way to determine how many hours of direct sunlight different parts of my yard received. It's not as easy as just placing it on the south side because a building and a fence cause shade depending on where I put things. Anyway, any pruning or care tips appreciated!

Also, is it normal that there are two different shapes of leaves on this plant? The larger ones at the top are wider than the smaller ones near the base.

I used to be really good at remembering faces, if I saw someone more than once, I could remember their face later. Recently I have noticed I can't really remember new faces anymore, instead my brain picks a face from my memory bank that is similar, and that is the face that comes to mind instead of the person's actual face. I realized this when I was trying to remember my new friends face today. I have hung out with him maybe 5 times, and I can't remember his face when he is not around. Instead I see a celebrity face that is similar. I was wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen? This happens with anyone new I meet. Another new friend of mine, it took multiple times of hanging out with her, like over 5 times for me to see her actual face when I thought about her, bc I would visualize my either my cousin or a girl I was friends with in college instead. This is kind of concerning to me actually.

I'm very proud of how the re-potting of my first desert rose went! This one has soft, almost fuzzy leaves, and I love it, other than it's ability to capture so so so much dust! I think she looks like a cluster of green flowers and I love it.

If you're thinking the decorative pot looks like it has crappy drainage, you are correct - it's terrible, which is why I put the desert rose in a nursery pot and he nursery pot is in the decorative pot! The nursery pot has great drainage so I will remove it when I water.

In the future I hope to cut the longest stem and try to propagate it.
