Genuinely, you can interpret a lot characters to be the strongest. There will never be clear strongest up until end of series, this is one of the topics that creates a lot of discussions and keeps people interested in the manhwa, revealing the strongest or showing one to be far above others may disappoint some large fanbases which will leave to them abandoning lookism. Less readers = less profit, so there should always be room for debate.

James isn't far stronger than Kitae for now and the other way around. Same with Goo and Gun, they are not far below and have their own arguments

You can argue even Gun can be the strongest using some statements chainscaling and assumptions. Let alone Gun, FUCKING JOHAN can be up there too so it's just a matter of own preference and favouritism.

Your favourite is the strongest, it will be like that for years and you can confidently claim you think he is without being clowned on (unless this is Samdak or Seongji). This is literally a fighting manhwa and PTJ can't allow himself show that big of a difference

I've been reading korean comments under video of BGM of the recent chapter and noticed that people say Tom's background music was left unfinished, full version haven't come out yet which can mean Tom is still alive. Also Tom's BGM is called "Miss" which likely refers to Miss Kim

Since James' final attack got offscreened and we only saw blood and korean characters which mean scream sound there's possibility that the person who got killed was miss Kim, (maybe) she sacrificed herself for Tom which will trigger his conviction or whatever and let him awaken his path

I'm not satisfied with this, is he worse that Jinyoung? No, Jinyoung is Samuel's and Johan's rival.

Tom needs to have his path and surpass the gatekeeper of pre-gen (Gapryong), if he is going to leave us this is the least that should happen. Besides, James' path got offscreened while we got some kind of hint about Gitae's, that's not fair

I even started to like Tom. Weird that this happened after he could "beat" James because I was James' fan number 1 at some point but now I don't feel like Tom was bad. Perhaps, I treated him too harshly, acted like he was weak and I hated him while deep in heart I somewhat liked him. Now after his great performance I will obviously glaze him but this is still not enough, He **MUST** start walking his path to have a great conclusion and tell us pre gen story. Tom was a narrator for so many years, it's too early for him to go and his final job is still unfinished

Between James and Goo I mean

With James' godlike portrayal I'm starting to doubt in Goo as true pinnacle of the verse. I was considering Goo to be top 1 because of his foolness and attitude towards everything because this is my favorite type of representation of the strongest – careless and bored one who suffers from success.

My own headcanon about Goo and his reason to always hold back was about him understanding he is the strongest and that he can eclipse everyone by putting some effort but he chooses not to because he would be lonely at the top and would get bored too fast. Boredom kills this type of people so they try to nerf themselves in order to stay on the same level with others. Never put an effort yet kept himself on Gun level and once he learnt about new Gun's stronger form it took only an our for Goo to catch up to Gun. If Goo seriously trained since his teenage yeats at least where would he have ended up? That's what I think about him, the true pinnacle who keeps himself on a certain level but it's still a question for me where his peak actually lies and how good it is compared to other guy considering what James is

But now James' portrayal and parallels to Daniel are getting more established. That godlike angelic portrayal seems way too.. obvious? God, peak, peak again and now this church. I can't describe it with words but with inner feeling I understand that this. Compared to everyone James overshining others characters with white aura looks like part of his portrayal as the strongest. Throughout the series he knew more than everyone and was involved in everything, he is the reason SB exists in the first place and even if he lacks something he'd just learn it like it happened in his fight with Seongji or Tom. Well, who can beat him? Even his path reminds Daniel "unrivalled" one, dodge and counter. Seems like he is actually the one to rival Daniel the MC

I really don't know now, this is the moment of clash between my two agendas with both Goo and James. Might consider reading Lookism for my 9th time to understand this better.

I don't remember last time I had headache this extreme so I must take advantage of this state. All of my brightest take come to me when I'm either sick or losing my mind so this time I might come up with some fire🔥 takes too.

Goo has path and he is actually portrayed as the strongest. So strong he has to nerf himself

Goo was always stronger than Gun, had much better talent and he didn't put effort into training to not eclipse Gun power wise so they alway will be on the same level. Gun's YUI made Goo reconsider his thoughts and prepare for him since he didn't know about this before, 4S for Gun and 50S for Shiro oni to match them because the strongest enjoys close fight

Yugang had path.

Paecheon is the strongest pathless character. Defeating him means you have a path, stated multiple times.

Changsu is actually stronger than Jaegyeon but since I'm glazing the latter I must place him higher

Yuseong is overrated. I overrate him too, he showed his low ceiling by awakening mastery against Baekgoon

So I was right about it appearing purple because red from blood was mixed with blue from speed mastery effect. There wasn't technique mastery, it's just speed was added

Also weird that he can use IA without speed mastery, I thought this level of speed couldn't be reached without mastery

I see some people claim that James didn't use unique skills but why do you think he even has then to begin with? I don't think he ever needed them or bothered to make some, James having unique skills just seems weird to me. He didn't have them in Cheonliang and trained for about 2 days (likely mastered path or whatever) so it wouldn't make much sense for him to make some, like for what reason would he do this if he already had path to rely on?

All he has is basic masteries, path and mastery of IA
