I've been letting these asparagus plants take time to get thicker and stronger. This year we have some that appear thick enough to harvest. I let them fern because I thought I could then cut them and they would regow shoots. I cut one as a test and it hasn't regrown. Been about a week. Am I wrong about that? How do I take a ferned out asparagus plants and get it to produce shoots this year?
