(For a bit of context i’ve only posted like 8 videos, and my channel is a gaming channel where I play with my friends and we have funny moments and stuff similar to like creators like daukey, zanny, or oneyplays somewhat. So yes I understand 8 videos is like nothing so that could be partly why but i’m just expressing my frustration. Depending on the responses to this i’ll link my channel maybe.)

This is mainly a complaint about my long-form videos, but no matter how much effort I put into the thumbnails, my CTR stays low usually around 0.6% or even lower. I genuinely feel like I’m making high-quality gaming content now, and I’ve had people really enjoy it on one of my better-performing videos (it hit around 2K views, while I usually get about 400).

That’s what pisses me off the most, ik the videos are good. I’m putting effort into the descriptions, tags, and overall presentation, so the algorithm can understand who to push it to, but people just aren’t clicking. It feels like the biggest barrier isn’t the content itself, it’s getting someone to actually press play.
The funny part is that the video that performed the best had a thumbnail I made in like 20 minutes (granted tho it had a generally captivating title in it cause it was about meeting a racist guy on CS2 on my first time playing but wtv 😐). Meanwhile, the videos I spend way more time on and where the content has gotten way better—don’t get the same traction at all. The people that watched that video really loved it like why can’t my videos just get pushed to more people like them. It’s frustrating because it feels kind of random, like effort doesn’t always translate into results.

(This mini rant might not make the best sense or convey what I’m trying to say the best either but I’m just mad and haven’t told anyone about my channel so just wanted ur guys thoughts if there’s positive or genuine constructive criticism ones)
