First time trying to get in early on Sunday — how early should I line up?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to hit SDCC on Sunday and my goal is to be among the first few groups to get onto the exhibit hall floor when it opens.

Since Sunday usually has slightly different energy (and shorter hours) compared to the rest of the week, I want to make sure I don't mess up the timing.

  • What time do people realistically start queuing up just to get into the building/floor for Sunday morning?
  • Is there a specific line or entrance I should aim for to avoid getting caught in the general bottleneck?
  • Any specific "pro-tips" for Sunday morning survival while waiting?

Thanks in advance for the help!

First time at SDCC! Junior attending Sunday

Hey everyone! This year is going to be my first ever Comic-Con. I only have a Junior badge for Sunday, but my parents are driving me down and we'll be there by Friday afternoon. Since I'll have all of Friday evening and Saturday to kill before my actual convention day, I would love some recommendations on what to do. What are the best "outside-the-con" activations, pop-ups, or events around the Gaslamp Quarter that don't require a badge?

I also want to make sure I hit the ground running when Sunday finally rolls around. I really want to be one of the first few people to enter the convention floor to grab some exclusives before they sell out. What time does the Sunday morning entry line usually start forming, and what are the current rules regarding lining up overnight for the exhibit hall?

Finally, if you have any general advice or safety tips for a first-timer, please let me know. Thanks in advance for the help, I can't wait to experience my first sdcc
