Yesterday on 30th sep a female intern was harassed by a nursing officer in the surgery department at AIIMS Rajkot during OPD hours.

The nursing officer behaved inappropriately with the intern and also made inappropriate remarks.

When the intern reached out to one of the senior doctors in the department they first asked what was she doing in the dressing room which was the place she was posted at.

On raising this issue to the higher authorities, instead of immediate suspension they have transferred the nursing officer to another department and are saying that they are following the procedure.

Here, students are threatened for suspension by the dean even for not attending the class or other petty issues and now these hypocrites want to follow the procedure on such grevious incident.

Edit: After protests from all UG batches of AIIMS Rajkot the nursing officer has been transferred to administrative dept from clinics, still reluctant to suspend him.

Has anyone noticed that recently none of the food delivery apps are delivering chicken ( probably due to shravan month). As of today i could not even order eggs from blinkit or instamart.

I am not sure if this is just limited to rajkot or even in other cities, but rajkot is among one of the worst in case of such restrictions.

I don’t understand who has the authority to impose such restrictions and why are we accepting such governance. What one eats or doesn’t is a personal decision and must remain personal. Not to disrespect anyone’s personal beliefs but they must not be imposed on all. (For all those who might think that i belong to a particular religion to be posting this, I Don’t.)

Is it just me or do others feel that this must change.
