iFi Uno Windows 11 audio Issues PLEASE HELP
Hey, I've had the ifi Uno for almost a year now.
got it when I was on Windows 11 22H2 from 2022.
I got my laptop when it was windows 10 and the free upgrade topped out at 22H2. I was stuck on that for about 4 years (crazy I know), but hearing how shit the other updates were on, i didnt bother to update my license.
The ifi uno worked like a charm. I even ran it through a kvb Hub as I have a dual computer setup and there was literally 0 issues.
Anyways, I finally moved onto the latest verson of windows last month and that's when all my issues began.
The audio from the ifiUno was CHOPPY as hell, music started becoming damn near unplayable and so were discord calls and games.
furthermore I don't see the Ifi USB Audio Device control panel at all in the taskbar.
I tried the following:
- updating the drivers although they haven't been updated since 2023
- flashed the firmware
- Turned off hardware accelerated GPU scheduling
- Disabled selective suspend in the control panel power options
- Configured USB Root Hubs to keep from windows putting the device to sleep
- Dialed back the sample rate
- Swapped USB Ports to ones on the machine and on my usb hub (no difference whatsoever)
- Turned off GPU acceleration in Chrome
- Changes iFi audio process audiodg.exe to High and Realtime
- Disabled USB 3.0 Link Power Management via registry
- Killed ALL traces of Nahmic Audio and all it's processing engines and triggers (my laptop came with it preinstalled)
- Turned of Network Throttling Index and tweaked System Responsiveness in Reg Edit
After all this and about 15 restarts later, I don't see the iFi USB Audio Device Control Panel or see ANY improvements in the issue.
I am totally at a loss right now and I am very very frustrated.
If anyone faced similar issues and can help me with this, I would be eternally grateful.
I really don't want to have to buy another DAC, I've sincerely enjoyed the experience with the iFi Uno and I just want to go back to being able to trust this.
I am sincerely considering switching to Linux now. This fuckery with windows is annoying me to no ends.
