Need Advice: Switch from Management Consulting to Prodman
Background.
B.Tech (private) + MBA (Tier 1, 2025 batch)
Pre MBA 2 YOE as a Software dev in US based product co. MBA summer Intern in ProdMan for NBFC.
I'm currently employed at a Consulting Firm in their GBS/GCC advisory practice but passionate about prodman and building.
My MBA internship was a mix of prod strategy/design. Currently I usually get staffed on projects with analytics oriented work, operating model design. Have an active git repo and I build actively post work whatever time I get, in touch with the prod market as a whole and keep experimenting with tools.
My plan is to switch into prodman, want to move out of consulting. Is this feasible? Has anyone here done it and whats the way to go about it?
Want to make the switch soon as staying here is just extending time that I don’t want to spend in consulting.
