Born in Canada 1958 to Dutch Father, Citizen by Descent?

Hello

I am reading conflicting information about my timeline. My father moved to Canada in 1950. I believe he became a Canadian citizen in 1957. I was born in 1958. Based on the law at the time I have read a Dutch citizen must have purposely renounced their citizenship at a Dutch consulate, and if they did not do so would still have been considered Dutch. Is this worth pursuing?

Applying for CdS spouse of European - Birth Certificate required?

I have read that in 2026 France now requires an apostilled birth certificate issued within 6 months for various visas. However, nowhere on all the official websites can I find that requirement for the EU directed CdS for the spouse of a European

IN fact all I see is they a cer are looking for a copy of the marriage license, proof of sufficient funds and appropriate health care. I'm very concerned that I will have to get an apostilled copy of my birth certificate now as well?
