I’m planning a road trip for my family, to see more family. We will have 2 straight days in the car driving. Friday and Monday are drive days going from one small town in middle of Colorado to one small town in the middleish of Missouri.
Looking for interesting side quests/ walk abouts in Kansas to get out and stretch our legs over the 600-700 miles. I’m pretty a it our route is along i70 mostly because of Tesla supercharger access. Any suggestions for what to see/do? Have teens/tweens and a husband who’s never seen anything in KS.

Do y’all save your fats?
I trimmed a 16lb brisket aggressively into several meals and got about 5 lbs of fat rendered into tallow.
Today’s menu used 2c flour, 2.5tsp baking powder, .5tsp salt, 1/3c tallow, 1/4 c milk (all I had) and 1/2 c water. Mix the dry. Cut in the fat. Add wets. Bake at 475° for 15 min or so. Fried up some spam, served with some cheddar and jam. Dinners on!
