Today I continued my attachment at the government Institution. I asked about rotation and I was told that for the other attachees they'll rotate after two weeks but for me I'll have to stay for at least a month in accounts doing cashier/clerical work.

I asked about the IT department but I was told I'll be going there at my free time then come back to my station.

As for today I couldn't be allowed to go the IT department since the institution is understaffed and it's only the lady(In charge of accounts) and I who were present so leaving my station would have delayed the 'services' being offered.

I am an IT student and I got an attachment in a government institution. Today I reported to start my attachment but to my shock I was placed at in accounts department. I'm doing things that don't go with my coursework.

I don't know how I will fill my logbook and I also don't know if the experience from the work I have been also counts as IT experience.

Any advice?
